Absurd silenced themA
Souls with twinkling starsB
Babies birthing babiesC
Very normal to themA

Absurd rejoices so deeplyD
Society prefers itE
Children grows steadilyD
Only to mother younger childrenF
-
Absurd makes the differenceG
Other children dependsH
And others seems dependableI
Struggling so beautifullyD

Poet's note: This poem is written in 2021 to the larger society, especially to the contemporary Nigerian society where children gives birth to children. Pre-marital sex that brings about giving birth outside wedlock is now the order of the day. What is absurd is now the order of the day and the poem is a call for a change.
