Hungry EyesA
Longing for every sightB
Whether of virtue or viceC
Be it wrong or rightB
Dying for a glanceD
At every single chanceD
-
Hungry EyesA
Looking here and thereE
Searching for something niceC
To pick up and stareE
Noble or ignobleF
Every sight a spectacleF
-
Hungry EyesA
Take heedG
listen to my adviceC
It's all you'll ever needG
Read be wide eyedH
And be satisfiedH
-
Hungry EyesA
When you see the strange onesI
Learn not to look twiceC
But flee temptationsI
Lest you take in the devil's pictureJ
And destroy your futureJ
-
Hungry EyesA
The slightest admirationK
May be lust in disguiseA
A great transgressionK
It may be allL
The devil need to make you fallL
-
Hungry EyesA
Tame your greedG
Throw up the devil's liesA
And discern what you heedG
Abstain from evilF
And resist the devilF
-
Hungry EyesA
Listen to what I sayM
And it shall make you wiseA
If you but trust and obeyM
Feed your appetite with God's wordN
And He shall save you from the worldO
