While I was falling,
I could hear, at first my despair,
could feel my fear making me shake....
my wings broke, and I bled, but yet I smiled.
Blood was coming out as tears, but yet I smiled....
I hit the cold ground,
feeling the pain of a thousand
swords hitting my body....
but yet I smiled...
And when my feet could carry me,
I got up, hurting, bleeding from every pore,
breathing pain, feeling pain, hearing pain.....
but yet I smiled, grinning my teeth,
always moving forward...always forward.
Always Forward
Catherine K.
Poet's note: It's about moving forward, about moving on, no matter how deep or big your pain is, or how strong the obstacles trying to hold you down.
