I Wonder, I Think

So i hold your hand
And wonder
If your name rhymes with mine
If my closure
Fills any void

I wonder
If i make you think
Like this

Like trying to touch
The wind
And if
My thought
Soothes any burn

If i get
Stuck
In your head
For hours
On end

I wonder
If i own a place
In your
Restless eyes,
Tired nights
And
In the crumbled sheets
Of your messed up bed

I wonder
If you think
About
Me
Lying next to you
Vulnerable,
Empty handed
And close

Poet's note: We have lost parts of our soul with someone and we also keep with us parts of people we have come to love and eventually lost in the midst of this life. But that doesn't stand in our way to keep loving and falling for the things we love. This is a poem for everyone who is thinking about someone who is not thinking about them
