Dear Future Me, I Can Explain

I didn't want to
I didn't need to either
But it happened anyway
I only sought solace
And Fate in the wrong arms did stir me.
Solace sought, deceit gotten
You'll be hurt, I was hurt too.
Dear Me years from now,
Hope you achieve
In words did I write,
What I hope that you have gained.
You can leave out the second wish
I don't know what I was thinking
Don't bother being six foot
Turns out we were destined to be brief.
I may be sad now
You're in no place to wander how
I sure destroyed your faith
But please never hate
Do forgive
May I first be pardon granted
Dear Me, I can explain
But have it sorted
Your's ever,
Me.

Poet's note: I can't wait to meet her, the future me. I'll wait patiently at this path called life. I can only hope she's happy. For the love of self discovery this poem was scribbled.
