Expectations
You put me on a pedestal
To displayed like a prize
To be defined by your point of view
But I got thorns with my petals too
In a glass jail
To be and admired trophy-wife
To be a glorified maid
This is not the life for I paid
You put me on a pedestal
To displayed like an award
To be subjected by your point of view
But I got thorns with my petals too
One day I will break the glass
One day your suffocating dream will end
Unfortunately, I have to say
But that day is not today
