Autumn Walk

Red, orange and yellow
Stars strewn across pathways
Sun playing hide-and-seek
But not too well

Dew drop dresses
For the tall twisted trees
Fresh, crisp air
Which is damp and heavy

Golden days
Purple nights
A fresh start
A fitting end

But not quite
Just wait and see
Until the deed is done
