If I Could Turn Back The Time
If I could turn back the time,
I’d mend the breaks in every line.
I’d hold you close, refuse the night,
And guard our love with all my might.
I’d paint the days with brighter hues,
Erase the scars, unmake the blues.
I’d speak the words I left unsaid,
And breathe new life where silence spread.
But time’s a river, swift and cold,
It carries stories left untold.
No hand can stop its endless flow,
No heart can change what we now know.
Yet still I dream, though dreams may fade,
Of paths unwalked, of choices made.
If I could turn back the time,
I’d keep your soul forever mine.
