Do Not Let Them Make You Ugly
They may stamp upon your gentle heart,
tear your loyalty apart,
mock the kindness in your eyes,
and leave you broken, bruised, despised.
But let no venom take its place,
no bitterness consume your face.
For beauty dwells where shadows fall,
a light within that conquers all.
Step away from poisoned hands,
from shattered trust, from cruel demands.
Heal in silence, guard your flame,
yet never let it turn to blame.
The world is ugly—harsh, unkind,
but you are mirror, soul refined.
A radiant strength they cannot bear,
a truth too pure for hate to share.
