Different Rains

We don’t all walk beneath one sky,
Some stay dry while others cry.
Some have roofs, some umbrellas wide,
Some just stand with hearts as guide.

So slow your judgment, let kindness reign,
For none can gauge another’s pain.
The storm you see may seem so small,
Yet to them, it’s a thunder’s call.

You’ll never know how cold it feels,
Till you’ve stood where sorrow kneels.
Each drop that falls, a silent plea—
Be gentle, friend, with what you see.

Slow your judgment, let compassion flow,
For every drop tells its own refrain.
You’ll never know how heavy it feels,
Until you’ve stood beneath their rain.
