We Are Dead Inside While Still Alive

Death takes a grave sigh
And we can hear that but
We are dead
While we are alive because
Life of ignorance is-
A needle
Of our heart we feel; life of
Hatred a black clothe
We wear; life of arrogance
A dim crown we put on; life of
Indolence a broken string
Of a guitar we play on, life full of fear
A shadow
We face.
O, let's keep promise
To fire the idiocy, to win over the
Contempt,
To destroy the vain crown,
To throw the idleness off in the fire,
And to win the fear
With the blooming rose
Of heart.
We'll never surrender.
