When I Was Rosalind

Do you remember when you loved me so?
How you worshiped where my feet passed,
Bowing down , kissing My footprints ascif a holy grail?
Do you remember ? Do you?

I thought you would never forget.
Poems you recited , songs you sung.
Oh yes, I never loved but I must admit ,
I basked in your one sided love.
I truly believed you would never forget.

I am most certainly forgotten.
You found Juliet.
She nursed your wounds of a broken heart I inflicted.
She loves you so, now I am barely a memory.
I see you dance with her as I stand alone.
In regret I wonder,
Do you remember when you loved me so?

Poet's note: I wrote this poem for someone I never thought would forget me. I used Rosalind from Romeo and Juliet as the my representation as she seemed fitting . I realized that it was never about me loving him but it was all about wanting attention. So it is a letter telling him in regret that I should have known better.
