Sinking

I crawl stroke and try to remain calm,
Like they taught me how to swim.
I push , swim upwards to the surface.
Reaching it my head rises from the depths of waters.
Looking around, nothing is all I see.
In the middle of the ocean,
No land, no ship, no raft, no aircraft.
I panic I am alone and lost.

Another violent wave crushes over my head.
I panic , I fight hard.
It fights back pulling me under.
Stronger and colder.
I am sinking.
Sinking in despair as I helplessly see the surface disappear.
Sinking in despair as I come on my last breath.
They taught me how to swim so I will neve drown.
Here I am sinking.

Poet's note: Sinking is a human study of troubles one goes through in life. While they are problems that can be so,bed in the world we live once in a while we run into one with no solution . No one could ever prepare you for such a challenge no matter how much you have prepared yourself. The poem was written by me me for me in remembrance of one of my darkest moments in life.
