Trapped in a strong cage
Wings broken, I cannot fly
Mother, let me free

Looking for freedom,
I can not find a way out.
Someone help me please.

My heart is breaking
For my future is hopeless
It is bleak and gray

All I feel is pain
Deep insufferable pain
Leading to nothing

I see no way out
No help on the horizon
No one is coming

Years and months have passed
Since my jail time has started
And it has been dark.
