The Best Is Yet To Come

As my heart pounds,
It melted into an ice-berg
As the stream of regret,
flowing from my eyeball,
As the bitter river of marah
Forget!
The best is yet to come!

How to take my coffee,
I had rehearsed
Till typical merganser
from egwü obilaji,
struck with awe
Cup dropped in a mud,
mixed with tortoise faeces
Forget!
The best is yet to come!

As the only chlorophora excelsa
in the midst of shrubs and grasses
Bragging for its ability to withstand
the elements of the environment,
for almost 500 years
Until the hearts of men
place blade at its root
Forget!
The best is yet to come!

Nature had smiled at him,
With Future as bright as crystal
Approaching with hands full
of fruits from the garden
Suddenly vulture snatched
Lad sat with tears
as thick as ice block
Forget!
The best is yet to come!
