Half-moon, Half-loved

Just like the half-moon
there are days I feel half-loved
by a half hearted heathen.
From the heavens you came and go
just to love me momentarily.

In this late night of May,
wolves howling at the half-moon
I feel dread, feeling half-loved
again by a half hearted heart.

I waited for you desperately
to fill the void you left behind in me.
However, in the end it's not you
who'll make me feel complete once more

Poet's note: This is what I felt when I thought he's the "love of my life" but he only happened to be temporary
