Zero

As a kid I remember this moment "One plus one equals zero" I said then my mother replied "No it equals two"
I thought to myself today that I have still believed to myself that it equals zero

Most of my relationships amounted to zero, my hard earned work amounted to zero
Everything I try amounts to zero
So why count numbers when life takes away those numbers you can't
Because there's nothing to count when in the end it will add up to zero
