A Legend Gone Forever
A great singer in perpetual slumber
No more can we hear him forever
The golden voice of yesteryears
Singing in many Indian languages
A wonder among all who knew him
Singing sweet songs that never dim
Through generations we’ve heard
Hence gone to the heavenly abode
The melodious songs king’s no more
A chorus reverberating in every pore
Soulfully sensed in our mind-store!
Eternally missed by all forevermore!

Poet's note: A soulful reminiscence of one of India’s greatest singers who lost his battle against Covid 19. He was a legend during his time for over four decades of songs he sung in many languages for movies and also for cultural and religious reasons.
