An Elegy In Dust

Of one in this world once,
Harmattan writes you an elegy in dust,
six feet under, your beauty lies
severed from life and earthly ties.

Oh Death,where is thy sting!
Lovely kid in wooden hearse;
Loved ones in tears.
The church bells go ding.
Ding dong dong ding!

Decaying body in dry earth.
Oh,Gloomy grave!Dreadful death!
Why pluck an unripe one?
A prodigy;child of the soil.

Sound the horn
of nature's haunting song.
From dust we come,
to dust we return.
