Prejudice, Am I A Fool?

The pride of life
The lust of the eyes
A filthy story
It all makes no sense

When I thought I knew it all
About the smiles and
Lovely talks we had
It all makes no sense

I said to myself
"When she keeps quiet'
She lets me speak in domination."
Thinking I have it all

Only to find out,
She only lets me speak myself
Because then she sees the monster
that I am.

I wish I knew
But no, I lived a lie
Now I know that deep in her is the mockery.
Now it makes sense

Poet's note: The poem prejudice is inspired by the story of a young man I met. He thought he had the perfect life.the wealth, the respect and all that. But when he lost almost everything including his life, I watched his disappointment make him delusioned and wasted. So in this poem the speaker is us and his assumed lover is our life.
