Last Goodbye

Said to my dad at the old age home,
Only for a few minutes,
No kisses, no hugs,
Then only nurses and carers were there for him when he breathed his last.
No family or flowers at his funeral,
Buried in a plastic bag,
A man who held me joyously at my birth,
I could not even perform the last rites at his death.
