A Man In My Dreams

He appears in my dreams every day,
can’t sketch him because he’s just an imaginary man,
but all I can say is about his soul,
how he treats me and how he consoles.

The way he listens to me so tender & clever,
like it’s the most important topic ever.
Even when my words sound nothing clever,
he made them feel the best thing ever.

I am so stupid that I share a lot,
not 'cause he listens but cares a lot.
He knows that I am bad at expressing,
that’s why he understands the unspoken words without guessing.

Can’t hold eye contact even for three,
feels like he’s reading the soul in me.
That’s how he appears in my dreams, not real,
but part of my heart’s themes.

Poet's note: This poem is a gentle, emotional exploration of imagined love — the kind that lives not in reality, but in dreams. It paints the picture of an ideal companion: someone who listens deeply, understands without explanation, and sees the poet’s soul without judgment. The repeated contrast between fantasy and reality reflects a heartfelt yearning for emotional intimacy, connection, and safety — things often missing in the real world.
