Our Mind: Friend Or Enemy

Often I wonder who is our biggest enemy
Is it people who put us down who are so many ?
Or situations that are thrown on us which makes us doubt our capability;
Is life so bad that we loose to ourselves and succumb without a fight?
Why are we so weak hearted and take away the flight
Our mind is our biggest enemy who puts us down
Making us incapable of finding a path

Aren't we taught there is always a brighter sight
And for every wrong there is always a right
Making our mind our friend who always stand by us through the end
Helping us wade through the storms at every bend

Yes our mind is our enemy as well as our friend
We need to decide what it can be through the journey until the end
