Prisoner Of Fate

Locked in the prison of darkness
A prisoner of pain
Staring at the high walls
With no where to escape

Resigning to this forbidden fate
Heaven seems so far,
Angels unreachable
Demons are watchguards

The torture of the mind
Even tears on exile
Making this pain unbearable
With no escape route

The silence voice unheard
Distrust and suspicion rules
Driving away every soul around
Letting loneliness and fear to reign

Who will save this prisoner?
The just Judge sits on the throne
He will decree His judgement
And releases the captive from the mighty.

Poet's note: The poem centre on the depression. it explains that world of depression is a prison and whoever that is going through depression is a prisoner. Sometimes fate could be cruel and lead one into a state of depression. The poet explains further that at that state, one seems likely alone with no help nor support. The state of depression could lead to one chasing away their loved ones and friends because of lack of trust. At the last stanza there was hope, the poet persona believed that God alone will save one from such pain. This poem mirror those who are passing through depression, they are not alone and will be free from that prison that has held them captive
