Waiting

She has been waiting for me
alone in a niche
in a garden of remembrance
on the Magaliesberg Mountains.
When it's time
I will go to her.
Interned together
- amongst ornaments of oblivion -
primeval elements entangled forever.

Remember

I remember a flickering candle
sedatives of light and darkness
- a memory from childhood.
Light was soft and comforting
and sleep just a gentle puff away.

In a far-off galaxy
a supernova fuses
into a dark singularity.
