Blue Jay Bird

A blue jay, a beautiful blue jay,
Humming melodies, harmonious melodies.
A verse, a young verse, develops into a phrase, a youth phrase,
still waiting to be sung.
The song, the newborn song,
is like bells, a symphony of bells,
swaying ring-ting-tingling to the tune, the wonderful tune.
A ray of sunshine, a peek of sunshine,
lands on the blue jay, the oh so beautiful blue jay.
As she sings her song, her dream-like song, mixing and turning the sunshine, the bright summer sunshine,
into the song, oh the dream-like song.
And the blue jay, the oh so beautiful blue jay,
sings like the autumn breeze whistling through the swaying trees,
for the last time.
One single tear was all you could hear as the blue jay went home.

Poet's note: This tells the story of a blue jay that is saying goodbye to the world and is saying goodbye to freedom. It has a deeper meaning, but I'm going to leave it to you to figure it out! :)
