So You Want To Know...

What love is

Love my dears
Is one very large, plump Nectarine
That you can’t wait to fondle
Firm but with a softness that sings to you
It’s a love you want to smother with your lips
Suck its creamy flesh and let the juices
Slither down your chin, catching it on
The tip of your tongue
And then go straight in for the bite,
Right into the mouth
Wham! You’re there!
Savouring every second
Till you can’t take any more.
Overcome with sheer happiness.
Now that’s what I call love.

Poet's note: I had just bought some nectarines so that I could have one after my dinner. But I stared at them and they stared back at me and I just caved in, sinking my teeth into its soft juicy flesh. Heaven!
