Returning To The Root

*RETURNING TO THE ROOT*

In the past conversation
Before the advent of man
Between God and the Angels
Man of different colors
And same color
Will butcher themselves.

When tempered beyond natural state,
The finest blade loses it edge.

The vulture
Foxed the peacock's feather
To its form.

The tiger
Took the bit between her teeth
To cease the cheetah's legs.

The wolf made meal
Of the dog and hyena.

The Anaconda
Made dishes
Of other reptiles.

So is the discord
Between light and darkness.

For no man feels
He exists only as the shadow
Of his brilliant brother.
