Music And Appreciation

I danced and danced.
Felt the world spin round.
I spun my dress, tripped,
And found my ground.

I heard the music,
Felt the beat,
Poured out movement,
Like electric heat.

But, all the while,
You threw change...
Like coin rain,
At my feet.

Poet's note: First poem I wrote when I realized that I wanted, needed, HAD to write. I wrote it on the back of my boyfriends bedroom door when he and I ate ecstasy for the first time. I was 15. It was 1992.
