The Voice Of Hunger

When hunger speaks, she listens
Waking up in the middle of the night with a grumbling sound and a sharp pain, striking the walls of her stomach like a soldier slaying his enemies on the battlefield.
When hunger speaks, she listens
Forcing her to gulp down large amounts of water to abate the pain in her stomach, but instead woke up the fierce soldiers making them dance to the rhythm of hunger.
When hunger speaks, she listens
Making her ribs visible to the whole world ,
hungry eyes stared at mouth-watering delicacies so close yet so far away from her reach.
When hunger speaks, she listens
Not because she wants to,
but because she has no other choice.
