I told her how I feel at age fourteen
Unfortunately she had a boyfriend, a husband I mean
A ride or die someone to hold on to till the end
As for me I was nothing but a friend

Upon hearing how I felt she was silent for she believed it wasn't serious
The continual telling of how I feel would ruin our friendship I thought
Though I know my words left her curious
She'll never know I love her a lot
