Er Haider Khan (born Mohammad Shafi Khan) is a Kashmiri author and engineer known for his heartfelt writings on love, romance, and resilience. Born and raised in a poor family in Shirpora village near Kreeri in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, Khan's passion for education drove him to crack an entrance exam and enroll at Gujarat Technological University, where he earned a degree in computer engineering. Khan's journey as a writer began while working as an engineer when he started penning down articles based on his real-life experiences and observations. He then went on to publish two books: Mixed Souls and Ayesha from Innocence to Resilience. Mixed Souls is a collection of heartfelt poems that touch upon themes of love, romance, and joy, while Ayesha from Innocence to Resilience is a novel that portrays the struggles of a girl's journey from childhood to womanhood. Khan's debut book, Mixed Souls, took him five months to complete and features a recurring theme of an elusive girl who appears and fades away. In Ayesha from Innocence to Resilience, Khan pays tribute to the resilience of women in Kashmir, showcasing his deep empathy and understanding of the struggles they face. Apart from his writing, Khan is also known for his love and dedication to his father, Bashir Ahmad Khan, and has dedicated his book to seeing a smile on his father's face. He is also grateful for the guidance and mentorship of his teacher, Shahnawaz sir, also known as Shaan sir, who instilled in him a love for language and literature. At the age of 23, Khan has already made a mark with his writings and continues to inspire readers with his heartfelt stories and poems.
