When Hope Dies
My heart sank in thoughts
And my eyes cried in vain
When I couldn't see the love sign
In your eyes that shine bright.
I'm always stodgy
And tauten for the taunting
Feelings boring me inside
My tattered soul.
Together we're for long
A day seems to be too long
When we're apart, and lungs
Breath the hot air of sadness.
