Why Should We?

Why Should We Reply To Each Others' Texts? Yet In The End, We Are Going To Sabotage Our Communication.

Why Should We Get Married And Bear Children? Yet In The End, We Are Going To Divorce And Lead Single Parent Families.

Why Should We Dream Of Doing Big Things? Yet In The End, We Are Going To Settle For Doing Small Stuff.

Why Should We Trust Other People? Yet In The End We Are Going To Be Betrayed By Those Very People We Entrusted.

Why Should We Waste Our Precious Time Praying For A Break Through? Yet In Actual Sense, We Don't Believe That It's Going To Happen.

Why Should We Start Pursuing Our Life Journeys? Yet In The End, We Are Going To Quit Along The Way And Never Finish Them.

Poet's note: I wrote this poem as a reminder to our adult selves male and female, to urge us to always stick to our commitments, those we make to ourselves and those we make to other people we live with.
