The Poet's Creed

I am a Poet! My mind forged by
the gods; with dreams and insight
like that of a thousand children
who have lived then regretted their
birth for having known the Truth
and too much Knowledge!

To myself, I am dead to the Physical
World yet reborn in the spirit
of the Universe! Immortal amongst
mortals yet destined to be destroyed
by their swift hand!
