Pieces Of Fate - Part 1 And 2
I
Beauty said, "Hello!", today and I
embraced her with a kiss. I planted
it right on her nose, the middle of
her face, just so I wouldn't miss.
All too often when you close your
eyes, Life goes on and you wonder
"Why"?
When you think you have all
the answers and are bursting with
pride, Life comes around again in
different form, laughing in Wisdom as
you cry!
So kiss her before she gets away.
Don't wait till tomorrow or some other
day. The Sun sets faster soon, watch
the twilight fade.
In a moment all will be known as you look
back with startled eyes at the "Life" you
have just saved!
II
I turned out the light and was left
alone, in the dark, with myself.
I've always known I was there, but
only now at the end of the day, in
night's silence, did I recognize
myself with all my senses, that I was
whole.
During the day, I seemed scattered;
with one sense strongly leading me on,
alternating with the others to carry
me through Life's long hours of
confusion till sleep.
Sight motivated me with her
brilliance; brightly portraying Life's
natural works of art, her power
dominating my being till I turned my
head or closed my eyes in order to
tear myself away from her tragic
beauty; as if it were a sweet lie
meant to trap a child with his own
curiosity!
The sound of thought was all I
could hear now; mad echoes of my soul
taunting me with shouts of doubt,
guilt and shame of my actions d'jour!
There was no feeling, no touch or
interaction; only the cold air
deadening my skin with her ghastly
embrace of emptiness.
There was nothing I tell you!
Nothing!
This was NO! Utopia, this...this
...Nothingness!
So in a rage of confusion I burst
from my sanctuary of silence and
darkness and ran out into the howling
night of crowded streets and false
lights.
And as I fell to my knees in front
of the first stranger I happened by;
she spit upon my face and laughed at
my disgrace.
And as her thick saliva
crept down my flushed cheek, I burst
into laughter and once again felt a
part of the Human Race!
