Lessons To Live By

We will all return to dust, just as solid
metals collapse from rust; just as all rivers
flow out to sea, to crash and foam on
distant shores endlessly!

Like the caterpillar emerging from his
cocoon like a rainbow so free, we must live
each day. like it was our last, for who
really knows, tomorrow might be!

We must not give in to the wicked World
or become a part of its destruction we will.
Like a demented man whose gun owns HIM and
forces him blindly to kill!

Say what's on your mind but speak not from
your unbridled tongue. Countless souls have
died from careless words, and actions not
birthed from thought...

...so weigh carefully all you say or do, and
happiness, with these wages of wisdom, you
will have bought.

These are but a few lessons to live by.
Many more will come to you in time. Now go
live your life the best you can. I hope
everything works out real fine!
