Enlightened In The Midst Of Death's Dream

Malaria breath, mosquito death, as
once again I wait to live. I wanted
to embrace the jungles secrets, yet
thought not about the price I might
have to give.

The fever I possess, like the
sweltering stench of heat that abates
me, slurs my senses and intoxicates me
with horrific hallucinations!

I set out in search of primitive
answers to life's universal questions
of the living soul, yet only now that
this tragedy has kept me from looking,
do I have a clarified and cleansed
view of what has evaded and eluded me
for the longest time.

Only now do I think I know!

Only once our eyes are unclosed, will
we dream without illusion. Sinister
sleep tells us only what we wish to know,
which is all too often false favoritism
in the realm of logic...the knowledge is
born out of delusion.

Yet unravelling both the known and unknown,
then piecing them together as one discipline is
what's even more complex and confusing.

I have found all in the midst of nothing; just as
minutes away from Death's breath have taught me
now.

I gasp a sigh of relief. Peace at last; I know
EVERYTHING!

My life, that was once filled with lies and
confusion, has passed!
