I Wish I Could Dance With You
Early in the morning I woke up with a thought of hearing your voice
I wished you could hold my hand and take me to school like other parents do.
After school I was excited hoping to see you but you were not there.
I wish I could dance with you.
I pray that you're safe where ever you are.
Sometimes I wanted to tell you about school work, everything around me and how I love you.
Mostly wish you miss me like I do
I never asked at home - I kept those questions, stories for you.
I wish you could see me now ,how I have fallen and dusted myself.
I shouted, got angry, laughed, cried then wiped myself and rise again.
Can I call you daddy?
I wish you could take a lead
Yes hold my hand and dance with me.
