The Soldier

Lived life more comfortably in demise
Providence could not have chosen me more worthy than that
With anguish smiling and chest big in size
Owe to my motherland my life

No dust and clay as sacred as mine
Kept me resolute and firm in every struggle and strife
A chance to shed my blood for this pious land will make my abode in paradise ever fine
Elated that I exit life with joy and pride rife
