Suppressed Emotions
Everybody loves
I just pretend I don’t feel
Down the bottoms of my heart
Sly, these emotions maneuver
Everybody remembers
I just pretend I didn’t live
Infamy and it guides my feet
Romance whose sheen has become a foe
A genius they disregard
Even honest endeavors won’t count
When I have won the world
And conquered all their memories
Still, they overcome
And they reign in me shamelessly
Whose décor is an ancient tapestry
Their guards never enervate, they never slumber
And so they build
