On Such Day

On such day of sundry memories
When the sky's in all its colours best
And the moon, its yellow glow gees
With yearning earth; its fervour fest
For colours howbeit the morning dews.
When the trees, calm, overlook the ocean
And the horizons beyond reveal the news
Of earth and clouds in coupledom uncloven.
Yellow-scarfed flowers covering shy ground
And the rest of earth in blended mirth.
Such once was a dainty day crowned
With heaven - earth colours heralding a birth.
The birth of a queen and Queen so named.
Yours are colourful blessings, yours forever famed

Poet's note: A love poem written for my dear and only daughter at the moment; that was on her birthday. It's also a poem for every little girl born looking beautiful as a queen and so named. Cara, for me, is the best gift I've had from God aside salvation, Hence this poem to memorialise her eleventh birthday and her birth itself as a gift I so value.
