Gone Down

The last hope has fallen
In emptiness they trudge
Regret their friend
They felt they blundered
selling an only piece of land
To have him in
Through connection
The jungle uniform in their home
made them secure
He never liked it
But took it anyway
for a chance comes once
on a mission
the hope and his group ensnared
The foe makes it rain red
Hope like a candle is blown off
the chest ripped open
the head spills all content
the brave won't behold the scene
News arrive
it's clear in village
He died defending
a country he loved
Regret not
For the cause is good
