Lost In Pain

Who will kiss her when I'm gone ?
When at close of day, at a lake pool,
I try to put myself in the jaws of death.
My mind rings with a phrase,
“who will kiss her when am gone?”

At a height of Burj Khalifa,
To God I giveth my spirit,
My heart throbs,
“who will kiss her when I’m gone?”

Let a TATA lorry run over me,
Along Kampala-Jinja highway,
My eyes meet her slim beauty across.
Her eyes nictate,
“Though we’re miles apart,
And some broken hearts ne’er mend,
who will kiss me when you’re gone?”Rhe persona

Poet's note: The persona is heartbroken and so he tries to kill himself by trying different means, but each time he does so, he remembers her ex-love, who broke his heart. In the last stanza, he sees her talking to him romantically...
