I Am Sorry

You were modest to me,
I took your meekness as a weakness,
I'm sorry it won't iterate again.

I enjoyed your sacrifices and gifts,
You wished to be close to me,
But my hunger couldn't withstand the pain,
I had to leave you in vain

The stars look beautiful deep in the sky,
I never revealed this; to you it felt pesky,
I'm sorry those old days are gone

Tears won't wheel your sorrows away,
The scars may drive your heart crazy,
I know how painful it might be...
I'm sorry I won't help!

You always accompanied me to the rave,
But my hands wouldn't lave,
I had to say goodbye
I'm sorry!
