A Nation To Behold

Running to the east or west
Thinking the home holds the final rest
The unthinkable thief would not come with a notice
We will not be able to defeat the unexpected guest
To fight an unseen enemy
Light and souls in solidarity

In the world of creatures
Different in belief
Different in language
Different in culture
Different right from the proto
Different in songs and dance

Let love live long
Raise our voices and clamour
Let raise a world of no discrimination
Without an iota of recrimination
That will allow prosper
Sisters,without being blood sisters

Oh compatriots of now and forever!
A nation of I and you becoming ours
Hands to raise unity and peace
A nation of a man with marks like a cane on his face
A nation of a man with a long chewing stick
A nation of a man who values colanuts

To serve the land of our fathers
A shared love between us
Like the love between a palm wine addict and a drummer
The strength to grow friends and not foe
And build a lasting abode for generations to come

Listen!
What good is a seed if it never grows?
And of what good is a mouth without the lips and the teeth?
A nation without you or me?
Lets join hands to raise a greater nation
Indeed a nation is to be hold
