Grief And Longing

As hearts wither like dry leaves,
‎A season of sorrow unfolds,
‎The memories of loved ones lost,
‎ Echoing through our lives, like waves,
‎ Their absence dwindles, like fading bells,
‎Leaving ache as dew,
‎ Smite like melting ice,
‎Without waiting for it's passing.
‎We smile through tears, as memories remain.
