I Woke This Morning

I Woke up This Morning,

and felt a calm and freedom

as I have never felt before…

I took advantage of the time

to travel to places

I’ve never been before…

It was fun to feel the wind

flow against my face

as I traveled to locations

and places I have never been before..

It was so much fun to travel…

to be able to go anywhere,

anytime

without the problems

of planning and money and worry…

just be able to go

and enjoy the wonders

and beauty of the world…

I saw things that were so wonderful,

they made my heart pound…

I glowed with excitement and glee of a little child…

Getting that one special gift wanted at Christmas time…

it was so breath taking…

I wanted to share this with you …

and rushed to your side

so you could travel with me…

and that’s when I saw you…

crying …

over me….

As I laid there…

still

with a smile on my face..

I woke up this morning

with a calm and freedom

I have never felt before…
