Money Is Sad
He married you for money
But you said I do cause you truly loved him
Huh ain't that funny
When you met him he didn't seem grim
The things people do for love
The things people do for money
Love is like a dove
Why does this love have to be so phony
You sit and wonder why
He sits with all your cash
But all that comes out is a sigh
You wanna confront him but you don't want him to lash
You think back before you met him
Life was fun while it lasted
Now you sit there slim
And very exhausted

Poet's note: The story is about a woman and her relationship, I wrote it because it came to mind, this poems means personally nothing to me but the simple fact that this happens a lot.
