Tide & Season
“Dada..."
Her first spoken word.
Etched deep within memory.
An infant, tender and adored,
Begins a season of seasons,
Where parents pour love
Every smile, a sunrise.
Kamto grows,
Like a tree by the banks of Mmili John.
Her steps steady into duty,
Carrying weight,
Dreaming bold,
Eyes lifted in a lofty gaze.
Seasons later, butterflies bloom.
Parents now lean,
Softened by years of toil and boil -
Grandparents cradled
Like children once more.
Yes, seasons change,
Times revolve,
Rains fall, snow drips.
We flow like the wind:
Unseen, unending, in
The circle of life.
"Nna o..."
Her last breath of life.
